Hi, Im Matthew Mangelsorf

​What you will find throughout this website is a lot of discussion and 'promoting' masculinity, courage, accountability, discipline, boundaries, and becoming a stronger man. I want to make on thing clear: I don't write these things becouse they sound good. I believe them, and I do my best to live by them every single day.

​

I'm tired of being pushed around by group dynamics, im tired of a culture that encourages excuses instead of responsibility, having people around me that live by a selfish, 'immediate self gratificaion' belief. The standards I talk about here are the same standards I hold myself to. Every word I write, every podcast I make, and every video and every opinion I express is measured against one question: am I livng it myself?

The truth is, accountability can be a lonely place. It means accepting responsibility when things go wrong. It means standing by your convictions when they're unpopular. It means refusing to blame others for circumstances that are ultimately your responsibility to navigate. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

​

One of the greatest hurdles any man faces is learning not to the be controlled by the opinions of others. Too many people spend their lives seeking approval form people they don't even respect. Freedom begins when you stop living for applause and start living according to your values.

​

People often say the goal in life is happiness. I disagree.

Happiness comes and goes. It's an emotion, not a destination.

​

Meaning is what matters.

Meaning is found in resposiibility. Meaning is found in purpose. Meaning is found in serving others, keeping your word, building something worhwhile, protecting those you love, and becoming the man you are capable of being.

​

That's what Men Like Us is about.

Not perfection. Not pretending to have all the answers. But pursuing meaning, discipline, self-control, and personal responsibility.

​

Becouse I believe that when a man develops genuine self-control, takes ownership of his life, and commits himself to a purpose greater than comfort, something remarkable happens.

​

He finds peace.

Not the peace that comes from avoiding challenges, but the peace that comes from knowing exactly who he is, what he stand for, and why he gets out of bed in the morning.

​

For me, that;s where meaning lives.

​

And that's the journey we're exploring together.
